About Rio Salado Audubon Center

Rio Salado Audubon Center is located less than two miles from downtown Phoenix and is used by over 200 species of birds and other wildlife. Its mission is to protect birds and the places they need using science, education, and on-the-ground conservation.
The Center has free admission and offers interactive exhibits, an interpretive loop trail, connections to the Rio Salado Habitat’s sixteen miles of hiking and riding trails, and many great programs such as family nature walks, birding classes, bird walks, wildlife encounters, school field trip programs, and more!
The Rio Salado Audubon Center is a great option for outdoor educational places in Phoenix!
