The Phoenix Art Museum is one of the premier destinations in the Southwest for the visual arts and is the largest art museum in all of Arizona! This museum serves as a symbol of the vast and colorful history of Arizona. Here you can find a variety of historical artifacts, hands-on activities and various forms of technology to help inform you of our states cultural, political and social history.

Located in the original Phoenix Police Department building, the Phoenix Police Museum showcases the history of the PPD dating back as early as 1881. Located on the 1st floor of the Phoenix City Hall, this museum offers a variety of artifacts and photographs and is always free to enter!

An Arizona icon, the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix has been inspiring and teaching visitors for more than 70 years. Here you will find a variety of desert plant life from around the world in its natural beauty. Over 50,000 desert plants are wanting to be discovered at the Desert Botanical Garden!

Located on the ASU campus in Tempe, the ASU Art Museum welcomes both students and the general public to check out their revolving exhibits that feature a variety of different art forms and styles. The Museum is always free to explore for everyone!

Tuesday – Saturday: 11am – 5pm (open until 8pm Thursdays during school semesters)

This open-air museum takes you back in time to the 19th century wild west, where you can experience over 90 acres of an old 1800’s town complete with an opera house, saloon, sheriff’s office, and so much more. The Pioneer Living History Museum currently has no free days, but it’s worth noting that children under 5 get in for free every day!

Western Spirit in Scottsdale is a showcase of a variety of western art and artifacts that are unique and inspiring. This museum does not offer free days for everyone, but on Thursdays in November-April Scottsdale residents get in FREE and children 5 and under get in free every day!
